Scouting

Girl Scout troops have been active at Audubon since 2005. We currently have a Junior Girl Scout Troop (4th/5th/6th grade), two Brownie Girl Scout Troops (2nd/3rd grade) and two Daisy Troops (K/1st grade). Over 75 girls are participating. The Junior Troop is focused on community service, personal growth and is following the “It’s Your World – Explore It!” Journey. The Brownies participate in service projects, make crafts and explore their surroundings through “try-its” patches that they display on their vests, all while having fun and making friends in other grades. And of course, they all sell girl scout cookies!

The Junior troop meets every other Thursday at school immediately after school lets out. The Brownie troops meet every other Wednesday right after school and the Daisy troops meet every other Tuesday. They are always looking for additional leaders assist with the troops and/or start new troops as necessary. If you are interested in leading or having your daughter join Girl Scouts, please contact Audubon School and leave a message for Troop Leaders Kathy Argentar (Juniors), Amy Van Swearingen (3rd grade Brownies), Jane Wharton or Tanya Seidman (2nd grade Brownies), Jessica Nichols (Daisies) or Kathleen Katz (Daisies).
