New Patron of the Arts Program–Get In NOW! Program Limited

Do You Support Art at Audubon?

Become an Inaugural 2010 Patron of the Arts! Deadline Wednesday, Dec 8th!

Audubon is offering a brand new Patron of the Arts Program in conjunction with Class Art for Auction Family Night, Wednesday, Dec. 8th. A Patron is a person who enthusiastically supports or champions an event or cause. As a Patron of the Arts for CAAFN, you will receive the following benefits:

  • an early (5:30) private preview and tour of the art collection led by CAA Co-Chairs (children will be supervised) providing an early chance to bid and BUY IT NOW;
  • a private session with a volunteer proxy bidder (we’ll do the bidding for you) recording your bidding instructions allowing you to enjoy other aspects of the event with your children or head home early if you need to;
  • a gift certificate for 2 free tickets to any upcoming Redmoon Theatre Performance (Audubon’s art partner)
  • a $50 gift certificate to Artists’ Frame Service, which you can use to frame something you buy at CAAFN on Dec 8th (or frame something you already have at home!);
  • a free poster/print of your choice of any of our 2010 Class Art for Auction artworks ($20 value);
  • one free raffle ticket to enter to win a one-year household membership to Chicago’s Contemporary Museum of Art;
  • complimentary treats from the CAAFN concession stand.

Beat Kitchen Event Benefits Audubon, Sept. 11

Saturday, Sept 11th, 11:30-5, Audubon 100 Sponsor Beat Kitchen will kick off their Fall Concerts for Kids! Schedule with a rock-n-roll, kid-friendly Block Party at their 2100 Belmont (and Hoyne) Location, with 20% of the proceeds benefiting Audubon School.

Fun activities include face painting, maraca building with Easel Art Studio, punk rock hair styling by Psycho Baby, drum building with Bucktown Music, The Children’s Learning Place Tot Zone and, of course awesome children’s music. Psycho Baby will be giving out free concert tees to the first 50 kids in their Rock ‘n’ Roll tent.

August 28, 2010 – Chicago, IL – Beat Kitchen’s Concerts for Kids! is kicking off the fall concert series with a huge block party Saturday, September 11th from 11:30am to 5 pm. Join us for facepainting, maraca building with Easel Art Studio, punk rock hair styling by Psycho Baby, drum building with Bucktown Music, The Children’s Learning Place Tot Zone and, of course, awesome children’s music.

Plus, Beat Kitchen’s kitchen will be open serving something for everyone from burgers and sandwiches to gourmet pizzas and salads.

Friday After School Option for Audubon Students

Audubon Craft Club

Looking for a Friday after school option? Wishcraft is starting an “Audubon Craft Club” for students ages 6+. It’ll be at the Wishcraft site, 2-3 pm, but includes a pick-up at Audubon on Fridays at dismissal. Will include a variety of our students’ favorite projects. Starts the week of Sept 13th, runs 6 weeks (8 weeks minus 2 Staff Dev days). Cost is $120. Call 773-348-WISH or email wishcraft@me.com. Attached is the registration form and waiver. Wishcraft needs a minimum of 4 students to offer this class.
