Wishcraft Crafter School Program Sign Up Now

Posted by webmaster on 1st June 2011

Registration for families new to Wishcraft’s after-school program has begun.

Wishcraft’s after-school program for grades K-8, known as (Cr)after-School (or Laughter School, depending on who you ask) is registering families new to the program now! For the 2011/12 school year two campus pick-ups will continue at Audubon (145pm and 245pm*). Wishcraft makes it their job to grow artists, thinkers and creative problem-solvers. This program is great for boys and girls interested in the arts and those comfortable with a smaller environment (no more than 30 students).

About Crafter-School

  • Clean, green & comfortable facility on Roscoe St., a few blocks from campus
  • Multiple study & play areas, grassy backyard with sun & shade, bright library with soft seating
  • Program starts the first day of school and ends on the last day of school
  • Wishcraft team operates with a culture of do’s rather than don’ts, and a focus on building confidence and knowing each individual student’s needs and capabilities well
  • Student/Instructor ratio of 10:1, and often better
  • Planet- and allergy-friendly cleaning practices
  • Walking escort provides a daily change of scenery
  • Responsive staff provides a service to parents using text messaging and other technology to maintain constant communication
  • Weekly afternoon art & craft classes are included in the weekly cost in addition to daily creative activities (classes such photography, story-writing, green art, textile arts and more.)

    What’s New for 2011/12

Both floors of the facility will be used for the program to provide older and younger students even more room to study, create and play. All students will have access to the full facility, including the library, for different activities. Applications are accepted for grades K-8. 10 additional spots are being offered and the program will remain small and nurturing. No weekly cost increase from 2010/11 school year.

Read more about it on the After-School page of their website: http://web.me.com/wishcraft/Site/after-school.html

You may not need this option for your own family, but perhaps you know a family that would. Please share freely.

*if school hours were to change, pick-up times and fees may be adjusted
