I thought, given the rather dire news coming out of CPS, that we could all use some good news. Here’s a link to an article from the current issue of Chicago magazine. The article is “20 Great Towns and Neighborhoods” and Roscoe Village is one of them! Roscoe Village is one of 11 city neighborhoods included in the article.

Specifically, Audubon is called out in the article with the statement “Test scores at Audubon Elementary surpass the city average by 15 points”. The Ramirez family is also mentioned as having “landed a coveted spot at the Audubon school, where he is in the pre-K program”. Audubon parent, Kristen Ramirez, is also quoted in the article.

Audubon Spring Gala Online Auction

On Friday February 26th at 8am, the Audubon Spring Gala online auction will be open for bidding to raise money for our school! You will be able to check out all the amazing items that are available. Some items are available for online bidding and will go quickly (including party slots) and some are only available to view. These items that are “view only” will be available for bidding the evening of the “Feathers and Fedoras” Spring Gala on Saturday, April 24th at Pazzo’s Restaurant.

Plan your bidding strategies by knowing exactly what is out there. Look out for regular updates via email, newsletters and information posted around the school on featured items. Check back often, as the website will be updated weekly with new items until the eve of the Gala. If you see something you know a friend would be interested in, click on the “Refer a Friend” button.
